Michelle Richards

Michelle began her journey as an assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at University of Tampa in 2010. Since then she has pursued her Masters in Exercise Kinesiology and continued training the general population as a CrossFit coach/mobility specialist, personal trainer, adjunct professor, and business owner of CrossFit Hyde Park and Result Cult Education LLC. Coach Michelle loves relaxing with her dog Brooke, being with family, and making CFHP members less breakable.

Alex Fillmore

MS Exercise Science Auburn University | CSCS Strength and Conditioning Coach, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

Alex was a former Division 1, NCAA qualifying swimmer for Auburn University. She found her passion for coaching and decided to pursue collegiate strength and conditioning. While she was getting her MS at Auburn University she worked as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports. She has now made the transition to general population and is loving it! CrossFit Hyde Park allows her to coach Olympic Lifting, among other things, to motivated individuals. Coach Alex enjoys being outdoors in the sun, getting coffee with her boyfriend, and snuggling her doggies.

Trent Richards

Coach Trent played football, basketball, and baseball throughout his life. Between 2011-2013, he underwent 4 knee surgeries from recurring injuries. It was his own injuries that sparked his interest in helping others stay out of pain and remain active and competitive! His mission in life is to positively influence everyone he works with and help people do what they love pain-free. In Trent’s free time he enjoys boating, relaxing on the beach, and hanging with his family and friends.

Aaron Senne

Aaron is a former Division 3 and 2 wrestler starting his career at Concordia College – Moorhead and finishing it at the University of Tampa. Aaron saw the positive impacts proper strength training and nutrition had on his wrestling career. This led him to pursue a career helping others reach their own fitness and sports performance goals. The high-intensity workouts and awesome comradery at Crossfit Hyde Park got him hooked on CrossFit. He is constantly trying to better himself by continually learning from others and giving his best effort each day. In Aaron’s free time he enjoys being outside, watching The Office on repeat, and reading up on strength training and nutrition literature.

Heleena Herb

HeLeena is a graduate from the University of Tampa and a former Division 2 Cheerleader. She started as an intern here at CrossFit Hyde park, which started her CrossFit journey. As a military child she has lived all over the world and have seen how different countries view and practice health and wellness. These places have impacted her viewpoint by giving HeLeena a wide base of knowledge to help her clients reach their desired goals.

Ryan Cox

Ryan is a former Division 1 swimmer for the University of Louisville and native or Raleigh, NC. Ryan found CrossFit after his college swimming days were over. The hard workouts, competitiveness and amazing community hooked him instantly. Through swimming and CrossFit, he found his passion for coaching and helping others, and has been coaching either or for the last 10 years. Ryan loves seeing athletes accomplish things they never thought possible and seeing their confidence immediately grow. If Coach Ryan is not at the gym, you can find him on a beach, outside being active, at a sporting event or on the couch watching Netflix or his Louisville Cardinals play.

Ryan sees massage as helping others out of pain so they are able to focus on the things they love the most. Ryan uses a wide array of techniques in his massage and does not believe there’s one method to the art. Above all, Ryan cares about people and the health of his clients has always been his passion and he feels truly blessed with the gift of healing hands.

Todd Whelan

Todd has been involved in athletics since he was very young starting with gymnastics. He knew he needed to pursue a career in his passion, so he got his first training cert. and continued acquiring certs. He played football 10+ years finishing his career playing semi-pro football out of Buffalo, New York. He now competes in powerlifting and prides himself on being able to do anything fitness and strength related at anytime!

Emily Kiernan

Emily began her journey as a fitness enthusiast at a very early age by participating in gymnastics, softball, volleyball and track & field. Her progressions and frequent injuries ignited a curiosity in understanding how and why the human body works the way it does. In high school she pursued an internship in the athletic trainers office where she discovered her passion for the human body and human movement. She worked as a physical therapy technician during college and decided to broaden the spectrum by working as a personal trainer. She now runs her own business with CFHP as her home base for her clients. In her free time, Emily likes to eat chocolate, play with her dog Kona, and make fun of her husband.

Melissa Capurro

Physical Therapist

Melissa, a New York native, grew up with a love for sports and fitness and knew at a very young age that she wanted to pursue a career in physical therapy. In college, she began power lifting and later found CrossFit while in PT school, and was able to combine her two passions into one to make people better every single day. Melissa works as a full-time sports and orthopedic physical therapist for Select Physical Therapy when she is not at the gym, and her goal is to make Tampa a strong and pain-free community. Melissa enjoys traveling, being outdoors and on the beach, and watching the Yankees!

Kenzie Haupt

Mackenzie's love for fitness started when she was young while playing volleyball, basketball, track, and softball. She loves helping people achieve their goals and gain more confidence in the gym. In her free time, Mackenzie loves going to the beach, hanging out with friends, and playing all the sports.
